Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna State Commissar for Homeland Security and Home Affairs, announced that unidentified gunmen carried out attacks in the province’s Kajuru and Doka areas.
Aruwan said 8 people lost their lives and 4 people were injured in the attacks.
Motorcycle use was prohibited
The use of motorcycles has been banned in some states because gunmen have organized attacks with motorcycles in the country recently.
The region is the scene of violent clashes between Fulani, who are sometimes engaged in animal husbandry, and some tribes that live on farming.
Last year in Kaduna state, 937 people lost their lives and 1972 people were abducted in the attacks carried out by gunmen.
The Fulani, who migrated to the south of the country to graze their animals, claim that the farmers tried to steal their livestock and attacked them.
