Council of Europe Communications Director Daniel Höltgen said in a statement that PKK supporters, who organized a demonstration for the release of the leader of the terrorist organization Abdullah Öcalan, entered the Agora building of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
Höltgen said, “I thank the police once again for quickly ending the violent and unauthorized entry of PKK demonstrators into the property of the Council of Europe.
In the news in the French press, it was stated that the police interfered with the supporters of the PKK with tear gas.
According to the information shared by the Strasbourg Prosecutor’s Office, 2 people related to the incident were detained.
Supporters of the terrorist organization PKK attacked the Council of Europe building and police in February 2019. 43 PKK sympathizers were detained in the incident.
